For one month, my posts have not been indexing. It says the page is not indexed; the URL is unknown to Google. Additionally, my website’s sitemap is not updating the discovered URL counts, even though my site has over 20 URLs; it shows only 0. I have checked every error, and my website does not have any problems with robots.txt or anything else, and it passes the live test.

Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with your posts not indexing and the sitemap not updating. It sounds like you’ve already done a thorough check on your website’s settings, which is great. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this further:
-
Check Robots.txt: Even though you mentioned it passes the live test, double-check that there are no directives blocking Google from crawling your site. You can use the robots.txt testing tool to verify this.
-
Sitemap Submission: Ensure that your sitemap is submitted correctly in Google Search Console. If it’s not submitted, Google won’t be able to discover your URLs. You can find more information on how to submit your sitemap here.
-
Instant Indexing: If your website is new or if you have recently added new content, consider using Rank Math’s Instant Indexing plugin to help submit your URLs directly to Google.
-
Content Quality: Ensure that the content on your pages is of high quality and not duplicated elsewhere on your site. Google may not index pages that it deems low quality or duplicate.
-
Wait for Indexing: Sometimes, it can take time for Google to index new content, especially if your site is new or has low domain authority. It’s normal for some pages to take longer to be indexed.
If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that a human agent from the Rank Math Support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The “URL is unknown to Google” indicates that Google has not discovered this URL before and has not crawled it yet. You can manually submit the URLs using the GSC URL inspection tool and see if that works for you: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289?hl=en
Also, you can remove all the submitted sitemap and after clearing your website cache, please resubmit your sitemap on Google Search Console by following this guideline: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
Thank you for your quick response and the helpful suggestions.
I followed the steps you mentioned, including manually submitting the URLs through the URL inspection tool and resubmitting the sitemap after clearing the website cache. Unfortunately, the issue still persists, and the URLs are still showing as “URL is unknown to Google.”
I’d appreciate any further guidance or troubleshooting steps you could offer to help resolve this.
Looking forward to your support.
Hello,
Can you please confirm if Google is able to fetch your sitemap properly? If so, we suggest you allow Google some time to crawl your pages and update the status.
Please note that it is completely normal for newly published posts/pages to take time before they get crawled or indexed by Google. It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing some new URLs.
Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two), and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get indexed.

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
Yes, Google Search Console has successfully accepted my sitemap. However, my posts and pages are still not being indexed. My website has a domain authority of 45 and a page authority of 40, so I wondered why indexing is still not occurring.
I understand that indexing can take some time and depends on several factors, such as posting frequency and domain authority. However, given the authority scores and the acceptance of my sitemap, I was expecting faster indexing. I look forward to your guidance on this.
Thank you.
Hello,
Since your sitemap is accepted by Google Search Console and you have submitted URLs manually, we recommend giving it a few more days while Google continues to crawl your site.
It seems that you’re currently using the Rank Math PRO plugin, but the account you used to open this ticket is a free account.
Can you please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account and verify it?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for the update.
Since the sitemap has been accepted and I’ve also submitted the URLs manually, I’ll wait a few more days to give Google time to crawl and index the pages as you suggested.
Regarding the Rank Math PRO plugin, yes, I am currently using the PRO version, but it seems I submitted this ticket using a free account by mistake.
I will search for the purchase receipt from FastSpring.com and forward it to you shortly so you can verify my PRO account.
Looking forward to your continued support.
Thank you!
