Math Rank is great. Even tho I still don’t understand how your whole SEO stuff really works. I recently opened a new site, set all my pages, categories, tags, author to the noindex except for my post and the homepage. I never set my post and homepage to the noindex but I can’t find any of my post on Google except from the homepage and the “Hello world” which is very annoying because I have tried the noindex on the ” Hello world” but it’s still showing up on Google. Just to add to the pain my sitename is being shown twice. Post not being indexed by Google, “Hello world” still shows up in Google even after using the noindex and sitename is duplicated, showing double. And I don’t think any of this issue is from Google. Please I really need this to be resolved ASAP.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please check your sitemap and confirm if only the posts meant to be indexed are included. You can check that by going to yourdomain/sitemap_index.xml

You can also share with us your URL so we can check from our end.

It is likely Google hasn’t updated their cache after adding the noindex to your Hello world post. For that, please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:
    a.

    b.

If the cache date is from before making the changes, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info. Another option would be to request URL removal from SERPs.

Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

Here’s my site MOVED TO SENSITIVE DATA SECTION and I only have like 6 posts and 6 pages. The only thing I made noindex was my categories and tags. Plus I even submitted rank math sitemap for my site to Google search consile but still no changes. Tho the duplicate sitename is no more and it’s now showing my site homepage but no posts or pages but is showing duplicate site homepage.

    Hello,

It seems Google crawled your site 2 days ago. My recommendation would be to wait a few days more and if it still has those issues, just let us know and we will continue checking it.

    Looking forward to help you.

If it crawled my site 2days ago, why are my posts and pages left out. I had to clear cache on my search console for the previous title and description to be removed and replaced with the new one. When I check a post with the URL on the URL inspection it is showing discovered – but not crawled

    Hello,

You can check when Google crawled your site (so updated its cache) to do that, please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:
    a.

    b.

When Google crawls a site it doesn’t index them automatically, it could take a few days, that is why I recommended to wait a few days until Google crawls again the site.

    Looking forward to help you.

Ok. Thanks. But do u perhaps know how long it might take for the next crawl.?

I submitted rank math sitemap to my Google search console. I added the domain name naijahottestjamz.com.ng and the URL https://www.naijahottestjamz.com.ng. Hope this is right?

But my public_html has a different sitemap I uploaded which isn’t rank math’s I also upload a robot.txt file to my public_html. here it is. Please tell me if anything is wrong with it. Thanks

    Hello,

About how much time Google takes to crawl, we can’t say an exact amount of time since it depends on a lot of factors and only Google knows all of them.

About having another sitemap file in your site, you should avoid it since you only need the sitemaps Rank Math creates (which are not saved in any file, they are virtual sitemaps, dynamically generated).

About your robots.txt file, it seems ok, I don’t see any issue with it.

    Looking forward to help you.

Do u suggest I delete the sitemap from my public_html then?

    Hello,

Yes. I’d suggest you delete the sitemap.
You can also rename it to something else if you feel you might need it.

If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
