I have already tried changing sitemap items and also saving permalinks in settings. But this post is still linked incorrectly in the sitemap.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We can see the
/hochsteiermark/thalerkogel/
page is getting redirected to the/erzberg-leoben/thalerkogel/
. Please note that Rank Math doesn’t remove the redirected URLs from your sitemap unless you delete the old URL or set that to Noindex. In this case, you can set the old URL to Noindex and see if that works for you.
Regarding the
/erzberg-leoben/thalerkogel/
URL, it is not included on your sitemap because it has a custom canonical URL. Please check the screenshot in the sensitive data section for reference. Please note that we don’t add posts/pages with custom canonical on the sitemap because usually when people do that is to prevent duplicate content so we remove the pages with the custom canonical.
You can follow this URL for more details: https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/#custom-canonical-url
If you want to add this page to your sitemap then you’ll have to remove the custom canonical from Rank Math SEO meta box Advance tab and let Rank Math generate the self-referencing canonical, and after that, your page will be included in your sitemap.
However, it looks like you’re currently using the Rank Math PRO plugin on your websites, but the account you have used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.
Please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account and verify it.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
I deleted the redirection, but now the URL changed to /hochsteiermark/thalerkogel/, what I dont want to be. I changed the primary term (admin post side bar) to erzberg-leoben but URL has not changed.
I have not set any canonical (see screenshot). So it seems that this is no sitemap-issue rather than an change of primary term change and not changing post-URL.Hello,
We’ve recently seen some issues with the primary category in the URL. The issue will be fixed in the next update. For now, you can replace the code on line 251 of the
wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/class-common.php
with the following code and see if that works for you:if ( empty( $terms ) || ! in_array( absint( $primary ), $terms, true ) ) {
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Works! Thank you very much.
