Plugin Rollout Development -> Stage -> Production

    Hello RankMath,
I’m developing my site locally and deploy code & database via git to a staging server (restricted Access behind Auth, unindexed) and if changes perform well, I deploy that same (git tagged) version to a production system.

With the RankMath Plugin, what is your suggested procedure to rollout either to stage and especially to production and where should I focus my attention to ensure the plugin to work without problems.

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hello Alberto,

I have connected the rank math plugin “Search Console Profile” in the stage environment to the stage profile and during the rollout, the production environment should be set to the production profile.

How can I achieve this ?

Do you support wp-cli.phar commands ?

    Thank you for your assistance

    Hello,

We do not support WP-CLI in Rank Math.

In Rank Math, we use the siteurl settings from WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General. Once you change the URL there, all the settings in Rank Math will automatically reflect the change in the domain.

The only places you need to double-check are:

    1. If you added any absolute URL redirects, you should check if they still work.

    2. If you used custom canonical URLs in the advanced tab, you will need to change them manually since those are stored as absolute URLs in Rank Math.

Apart from that, there shouldn’t be any difference in working from switching from a staging to a production environment.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
