Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.
We might need to take a closer look at the issue. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
The link you have shared needs a registered email id to log in.
Can you please use this plugin to create a temporary login link for us and share it here in the sensitive data section so we can check this further: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks.
I disabled that special security, please try again with the link provided, it shall work now
Hello,
I checked and figured out that the file we use to save the meta data is being blocked on your site. Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to whitelist
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user
file. The issue will be resolved after that. Here is a guide that can help: https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
thanks for the quick reply
This page rule on Cloudflare does not seem to be sufficient
https://share.autonomoustrading.io/share/CJdAqy4J77p3Ud1sLlD7
We have our own server. We use WP rocket as well and the server runs NginxHello,
Please include another asterisk (*) at the beginning of the path you are about to whitelist then save this rule.
Clear all your website cache including Cloudflare and see if this resolves the issue.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
It does not work, we even tried to disable apps on that Cloudflare rule. This plugin never worked. We tried in the past with cloudflare disabled (developer mode) and nginx cache disabled, it did not work too
Hello,
We would like to further investigate this issue but the admin access is asking for a verification code once again. Could you please disable it temporarily so we conveniently access it?
Also, if you prefer, you can disable Cloudflare temporarily too as we deeply investigate this with our dev team.
Looking forward to helping you with this one. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Cloudflare has been disabled for 3 hours, the link is above
Hello,
Thank you for disabling the Cloudflare; we tried to troubleshoot the issue further, but as previously mentioned by my colleague, the issue is related to the security/firewall preventing the data from saving it.
Here is the screenshot for your reference:
[Moved to sensitive data section]As you can see, Cloudflare is blocking the API route. Could you please add only the below rule:
/wp-JSON/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
and wait for some time to reflect the changes, then try to update the metadata. We are looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
I sent an email to WP Rocket, and I will contact Cloudflare suppport
I am pasting the text from Cloudflare. Based on the following what do you suggest?

May I please ask, is this in relation to the WordPress plugin and are you experiencing the error: “Bad Request”?If I may have misinterpreted your request please do feel free to let me know with further clarification, and I’ll be happy to help.
However, if this does relate to the above, this error should not impact the functioning of the zone, or the APO itself, but we are aware of customers observing it and we are investigating.
Could you please also report it to the WordPress support? In any case, here it follows some options you may consider:
First of all, please note that even if the WordPress plugin is not detected by the dashboard it does not affect the APO performance of your site.
As long as the feature is enabled, the content is still served from cache and you should see header cf-cache-status: HIT in the responses coming from Cloudflare.APO explicitly checks against the root at your apex (example.com) and www subdomain (www.example.com) to find WordPress.
If WordPress is not found there, it will not be detected.
If WordPress is located at the root directory, you should be able to enable the APO directly from the WordPress plugin itself. Therefore, please try the following steps to resolve the problem:
Update the Cloudflare WordPress plugin in the WordPress dashboard to the latest version
Purge the cache in Cloudflare (and on any other cache solution you might be using) (see Purging cached resources from Cloudflare)
Disable the Automatic Platform Optimization for WordPress in your Cloudflare Dashboard, and then re-enable it again from the WordPress plugin user interface
Purge the cache again
If this does not resolve the issue, please make sure that you are not redirecting from your apex to www or the other way around at your origin web server.
Instead, configure a Page Rule in your Cloudflare Dashboard to redirect from one URL to another (from www to root, for example) instead of using redirect at your origin (as a bonus, it will make the redirect execution faster) and then make sure that your WordPress on the final destination URL has APO plugin enabled and configured correctly. You can find more details regarding APO here: Understanding Automatic Platform Optimization (APO) with WordPress
Hello,
Thank you for share the response. Since you are using Wp-rocket to manage the cloudflare settings, Could you please enable the development mode, Also please remove the URL from the Page rule inside the cloudflare, And add only this :
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
. Make sure to remove any previous rules related to Rank Math and let us know how wit goes.Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
