Plug-In Isn’t Setting Up

    Hello,

    I’ve just taken over a site that a previous web developer has made using Elementor Pro. I’ve downloaded and installed the Rank Math plug-in, but for some reason I’m unable to set up up.
    The RankMath icon on the left hand side of the dashboard is a cog, not the usual icon, and when I click on it I’m taken to the set up page but after clicking on ‘Connect Account’ I’m sent back to the wordpress dashboard.

    Is there something I’m missing, or need to do? as this hasn’t happened on any other sites I’ve used the plugin on.

    Hello,

    If the issue persists after reinstalling the plugin, then please check if there’s some security rule inside your .htaccess file that may prevent saving the settings.

    You can also use the default .htaccess file from here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before modifying your .htaccess as it is a sensitive file.

    You may also check if your website has the ModSec (ModSecurity) feature enabled on your server, as it can block some processes on your site.
