Placeholders/Variables not working on some pages

On the date archives I have “Articles from %date% %page% %sep% %sitename%” for the title and “Articles published on %date% on %sitename% %page%” as the description: https://i.gyazo.com/94ff406ba15ea68c4855ba4234cf4384.png

But the %date% variable is not working. My title and description are output without the date (i.e. “Articles from | Automoblog”)

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

I’m afraid this is a current limitation, For the %date% variable to work on date archives, kindly add the current month for example /2019/12 to see how it goes.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Thanks but i’m not quite sure what you mean. What should I add, exactly? the current month variable? Current year? What exactly is the limitation?

Do you plan on fixing this soon?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

I am sorry if I was not very clear, I meant that you should filter the date archives using both the year and the month. I have added an example link on the sensitive data section from your website where you can see that this is working.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi, I’m sorry but it’s still not clear. In the link you pasted (https://www.automoblog.net/2019/) it’s still not working.

    Hello,

Apologies for that, this is the correct link
    https://www.automoblog.net/2019/11
Note: It is ending with a specific month.

    Thank you.

That’s interesting so it gives the month and year on month and day archives, but not the day or only year on yearly archives. Weird problem – plan on getting that fixed soon?

    Thanks for your help.
