Do note that it can take up to an hour for your website to get verified, you will be notified via email.

I am getting the same error message
Hello,
First, You have to copy the HTML meta tag from the Pinterest website claim page.
After that, log in to your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Rank Math > General Settings > Webmaster Tools > Pinterest Verification ID. Here you have to paste the code.
Once the code is pasted, click the Save Changes button.
Now, go back to the Pinterest website claim page, then click the Continue button.
Here, enter your website’s URL with HTTPS and click the Verify button.
This should resolve your issue.
