    Hi there,

I’m getting a warning from Pinterest about a potential conflict with Rank Math when trying to set up Rich Pins for my WooCommerce products. The message says:

“The following installed plugin(s) can potentially cause problems with Rich Pins: Rank Math SEO.”

I’ve checked the Rank Math settings, but I can’t find any specific options for Rich Pins. I also looked at the page source and didn’t see duplicate meta tags, so I’m not sure what’s causing the issue.

Could you help me figure out why Pinterest is flagging Rank Math as a conflict? Are there any settings I need to adjust or common fixes for this? thank you isaac

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Pinterest and Rank Math regarding Rich Pins. It’s important to ensure that your site is properly configured to avoid any conflicts.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check for Duplicate Meta Tags: Even if you didn’t find any in the page source, it’s worth double-checking. Sometimes, themes or other plugins can add their own meta tags. You can follow this guide on how to fix duplicate meta tags to ensure there are no conflicts.
Enable your plugins one by one

    2. Verify Plugin Conflicts: Some plugins are known to conflict with Rank Math. You can check the list of known plugin conflicts and see if any of them are installed on your site. If you find any, consider deactivating them to see if that resolves the issue.

    3. Ensure Proper Setup for Rich Pins: Make sure that you have followed the necessary steps to set up Rich Pins correctly. You can refer to Pinterest’s guidelines for setting up Rich Pins to ensure everything is in order.

    4. Use the Pinterest Validator: Use the Rich Pin Validator provided by Pinterest to check your product URLs. This tool can help identify any issues with your meta tags or setup.

If after following these steps you are still experiencing issues, we recommend reaching out to our support team directly through your ticket. A human agent will be able to assist you further and provide more specific guidance based on your site’s configuration.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope this helps you resolve the issue!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting RankMath and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Pinterest uses the OpenGraph tags that our plugin has already added to your site. There are no additional tags to generate the rich pins in Pinterest. You can check this guide to learn how the OG tags of our plugin work: https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-meta-tags/

Since our plugin already takes care of those tags, you can deactivate the options “Add Rich Pins for Products” and “Add Rich Pins for Posts” on the Settings tab on “Marketing > Pinterest”. This way the meta fields won’t be added to your site and won’t cause any conflicts.

Hope this helps. If you still have any questions or need assistance with a specific feature, just reply here and we’ll be happy to help you further.
