Pillar contents

I haven’t created pillar content, as I have the YARPP plugin and have created very descriptive categories. For example, I explain what an action game is.

Do you have advice? I don’t even know how to create pillar content with online games and I never mention other games in posts.

I had tried a plugin like Link Juice in the past, but it didn’t provide any benefit. But I think I hadn’t created very descriptive categories yet.

But I enabled breadcrumbs. Actually, it would make sense to install Link Juice again to have internal category links…

  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you’re facing with creating pillar content for your online games. It’s great that you’ve enabled breadcrumbs, as they can help improve your website’s structure and user experience.

Creating pillar content is essential for improving your website’s SEO and providing a central point for all of your other content. While YARPP is a great plugin for related posts, it doesn’t specifically help in creating pillar content.

To create pillar content for your online games, you can start by identifying evergreen topics related to online gaming that are of great importance to your website. This could be a comprehensive guide on a specific aspect of online gaming, such as “How to Choose the Best Online Game for You” or “Understanding In-Game Mechanics: A Comprehensive Guide.”

Once you’ve identified these topics, you can mark the corresponding posts as pillar content using Rank Math’s “Pillar Content” feature. This will allow Rank Math to suggest internal links to these pillar posts from your other posts, helping to improve your website’s SEO and user navigation.

Additionally, you can consider creating descriptive categories that encompass various aspects of online gaming, and then link these categories to your pillar content. This can help in organizing your website’s content and providing valuable internal links.

As for the Link Juice plugin, while it may provide internal category links, it’s important to ensure that the content within those categories is well-optimized and marked as pillar content for maximum SEO benefit.

I find it terribly complicated to understand internal links and pillar content. I’ve been trying to understand them for 3 years.

I have an online gaming site and in my opinion it is impossible to create pillar or internal links correctly or easily. I have yarpp, but it doesn’t seem to help SEO, as I don’t have people visiting the site and not clicking.

    Hello,

Can you please share some details on what how you expected the Content Pillar from Rank Math to work?

To put it simply, by marking a piece of content as “Pillar Content”, you are telling Rank Math that this is an evergreen piece of content that will remain relevant for years to come. With the other posts that have the same category, you can link them together with the help of the Link Suggestions tool to ensure relevancy across posts.

We are looking forward to helping you.

I had figured it out on my own too, but what’s confusing is: does it make sense to use your tool without any image instead of YARPP? Or use them together?

Having an online gaming site, it makes sense that all posts are pillar content and have links at the bottom of the page.

But being a beginner, I ask for an opinion from experts like you.

    Hello,

YARRP is used to display the related posts. The pillar content feature of our plugin is entirely different. It is only used for internal linking. If you don’t internal link games, then there is no need to use the pillar content option as it will have no benefit.

If you decide to use it, then the pillar content should be a post that discusses games and is not focused on a particular game. You can create a post explaining a game genre and the most popular games in that category and then internal link that post on the game posts in that category.

I hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
