Not too sure how to handle pillar content which posts should i mark as pillar content or not, you are explaining it his way.

By marking a piece of content as “Pillar Content”, you are telling Rank Math that this is an evergreen piece of content that will remain relevant for years to come.

My blog is a kind of generic blog about knowledge i have categories : Mythology, health and wellness, numerology, tattoos, Curiosity

In my opinion, every single post can be pillar content because the information given in the posts are always valid

    question

if i mark every single post as pillar content will give me SEO problems? do you guys reccomend doing so or not?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with setting up pillar content on your website.

You can think of pillar content as a main/general/reference page that links out to other subtopic/details/in-depth pages. Other pages on your website will also link to the pillar pages for definitions or to give new visitors a general topic starting point.

For example, you can have a numerology pillar page that gives a definition of numerology as well as a general introduction to the types of numerology. All/most of your numerology pages would link to the general numerology page and the numerology page would also link back to all the main subtopics. This helps search engines gain a better understanding of the relationship between the content on your website, while also giving your visitors a better experience in navigating your website.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.

for numerology i have a kind of article that gives a guide of what numerology is, but what about my other categories? in those other categories i do not have a more important page as i do not have a guide article or something like that. All the articles are focused on specific keywords and none of theM is more important than the others. What am i supposed to do in this case? if I put as pillar content an article in the category numerology and then all the other categories have no pillar content, then google might think that my blog is centered on numerology which is not true.

    Hello,
    numerology page.
It’s fine if you have only one topic with pilar content. The rest of your content not related to numerology will be treated the same regardless of whether you set a pillar page for numerology or not. At least by setting a pillar page, you get a small boost for your numerology related pages with relatively little effort. In the future, you can also look out for topics that would work well with pillar pages and create content for them.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
