That extension is a requirement to use our plugin because without it features that handle imagery such as adding the missing ALT tags or parsing the images to add them to the sitemaps might not work correctly.
Please make sure that you enable that extension on your server, otherwise, we will not be able to provide technical assistance if something happens.
