I got a website named Trulypajamas [moved to the sensitive data section]

Current Scenario- Page 1 or say the first page of the series got canonical to page 1 itself, Page 2 got canonical to page 1, and so on. But, the below-attached image which is from a known author in the SEO industry, is suggesting to get self-referencing canonical tags.
    ” alt=”Author advise” />
    ” alt=”Author Advise” />

In Short, page 1 should get page 1 as canonical, page 2 should have page 2 as canonical, and so on. I am looking for your valuable input if any.

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Our plugin adds the self-referencing canonical URLs to the paginated pages by default. If you have the canonical URL of the main page, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.
