pages returning error 500

    Rank Math free

    Hello there,

    I have installed RankMath today.

When adding focus keywords to pages, I noticed that two of the pages start returning error 500 and are no longer accessible. I cannot see anything different about them, beside the fact that I reached these two last.

Here are the links to these two pages:

    page one

    page two

This is the home page link, which works fine.

Any idea what might be causing it?

    Many thanks,

    Michal Tal-Socher

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Error 5XX are server errors, so they are related to your hosting. Our recommendation would ask your web host to check them for you.

If this issue’s root cause is due to your site’s memory getting exhausted, you can check these PHP values with your web host if they are already set:

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Many thanks Reinelle,

I have contacted my web host. I will restore my website to its state before the RankMath installation and then will re-install it. The errors were probably created due to a conflict between RankMath and the WP-Optimize plugin (when deactivating WP-Optimize, the errors were gone, but one page still does not work well, so I prefer to roll back and avoid any additional problems caused by that conflict).

Is there any other (free) optimization plugin that is compatible with RankMath? I need it primarily for caching.

    Best wishes,

    Michal

    Hi again,

After further checking, the errors may not be related to a plugin conflict. I have reinstalled both plugins on a staged copy of the site and both seem to work (I have not pushed it to live yet). If there are no known conflicts between RankMath and WP-Optimize, I can see this issue as resolved.

    Many thanks,

    Michal
