Pages not indexed

    Rank Math free

Hello. I’m having an issue with my website not being indexed after using the Rank math plugin and following the setup instructions carefully. My websites have only 5 pages (Home, About, Service, Portfolio, & Contact) and the only home page has been indexed. The rest are ignored.

I tried to troubleshoot by following the steps from this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/google-index/

    1. I searched my website name using “site:https://example.com/” and it only shows 1 result and that is the home page.
    2. I checked every page to make sure that I don’t set it to NoIndex by mistake.
    3. In WordPress Global Settings, I made sure Discourage Search engines option is not ticked.
    4. I checked every page to make sure that I let Robot.txt index my page.
    5. I did find that the pages have been crawled but not indexed. While I don’t understand why this happens, I made sure that pages don’t have duplicate content.
    6. My website has no blog posts so there’s no need for pillar content or internal linking.
    7. I manually submitted index requests to Google Search Console every week or so and still did not work.

Despite my best efforts, it seems that it did not solve my problem, and worry that it will negatively affect my business. Can you please take a look into the problem and possibly fix it?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Crawled – currently not indexed means Google has crawled your page but has not indexed it yet.

In this case, you may need to improve the overall quality of your site. Here’s a link for more information:

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Hey, Reinelle. Thanks for replying to my post. I have read the link you provide and I’ll try your solutions.

I have noticed that on the home page that got indexed, my Rank Math scored well (91/100), while the other pages that aren’t indexed are scored poorly (15-20/100). The reason why I left bad scores as it is because due to the nature of the page, it makes no sense of using focused keywords. For example, pages such as Contact Us and Portfolio do not require focus keywords. Furthermore, when I tested the pages through Google Lighthouse, it scored 100 so I believe I meet the basic needs of on-page SEO optimizations.

So my question is do I have to improve my Rank Math score to increase the chance of getting indexed, or I can safely ignore them since they are not relevant to my situation?

    Hello,

The SEO score is just an internal metric to give you a to-do list of things you can do to optimize your website. You can ignore the score as it is not relevant to your pages.

The SEO score does not affect the indexing of the website.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

It’s pretty reassuring to know that I don’t have to follow Rank Math metrics. I also found possible solutions after consulting with Google Search Console support.

SO thank you, Anas and Reinelle. I really appreciate your help!
