    Hello there,

I use RankMath for SEO Optimization. When I was developing the new website I did set the pages to noindex. When I submitted the website on google search console for Indexation it only indexed few. I was able to get most of the pages indexed meanwhile by making little changes on the website and saving them again. Then I asked for new Indexation on search console.

This method worked for almost all pages, nethertheless now still 3 pages are not indexed and ranked within google. My method didn’t worked on them. Do you have any ideas what to do to get these last 3 pages ranked aswell? They are actually super important for the site.

Thanks a lot and best regards
    Katrin

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please note that it is completely normal for a newly published post/page/website to take time before it gets crawled or indexed by Google. It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing some new URL. Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two) and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get indexed.

You can also check for noindex tag here to rule out that your page isn’t getting indexed due to a mistake in plugin settings:
    https://smallseotools.com/meta-tags-analyzer/

If noindex is not present, then it is just a waiting game before Google decides to include the URL in the index. No SEO plugin can force Google to index something they don’t want to.

With that said, we have found that barring any issues like copied/DMCA/low-quality content issues – Google usually indexes posts within a week or two. So, we request you to kindly wait.

Google even says that on their official website:
    https://i.rankmath.com/QB4Dhl

The above screenshot was taken from this page:
    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7552505#missing-jobs

So, you have to be a bit patient and allow it some time. If your website isn’t indexed even after a week, you can place a manual indexing request here:
    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I tried it all, but didn’t change anything. Also I’m waiting already since 05.05.21. It’s almost 2 months, so I think it should be indexed already some time ago.

Any other ideas what to do?

    Best regards,
    Katrin

    Hello,

I checked all the 3 pages and their robots meta tag is set as Index, also, the pages are available in the sitemap.

Please have a look at the screencast in the sensitive data section.

In this case, please clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap (your-domin.com/sitemap_index.xml) (please ensure to replace “your-domain.com” with your actual domain).

Further, give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if the issue is fixed.

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    thanks for the rely.

I did as recommended. Still nothing changed. The same 3 pages stay unindexed.

    What else could I try?

    Best regards,
    Katrin

    Hello,

I checked all three URLs and the URLs are accessible to Google bots. Please have a look at the screenshots in the sensitive data section of this ticket.

However, could you please check the coverage report under your Google Search Console account to see if there are any errors shown, that might be causing the issue?

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

It’s what is shown under coverage. As I told you all other pages got indexed with the time and some changes of me. They all showed the same error that there is a “Noindex”. Just those last pages won’t index.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I’ve checked the URLs, and they are all set to index. There’s also no noindex present in their page’s source code. You can also verify them using this tool.

In your Google Search Console account > Coverage, please click the error and click the validate fix button, and give Google some time to recrawl those pages
    Validate Fix

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

I did already do that after checking that everything was set to index. As you can see in the attached picture I already did that on 10.05.21. It’s been more than 2 months.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The pages are set to Index, they are also not getting blocked by robots.txt, their canonical tags also seem fine, and the pages are listed in the sitemaps.

Even then, if Google is seeing a No Index tag on the pages, then it is likely that Google is still seeing a cached version of the website.

You may temporarily disable any caching plugin on your website and wait for Google to re-crawl the pages again.

You may also create duplicates of those pages and change their slugs slightly, draft the older pages and see if the duplicate pages get indexed.

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hey,

creating duplicates finally helped. Thats not the nicest way to handle it but finally it worked and I’m happy about that. Thank you.

I only did it for the 2 important content pages. I didn’t do it for the calculation page, since it already has backlinks on it and I would have to redirect to the new URL. That’s why still this page has a fault in Search Console. It doesn’t matter to me, since it’s no content page. Does it matter to Google? Does it has influence on the whole page or othe URLs if there is a URL with a fault in Search Console?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello,

Ideally, it is good to fix the errors in Google Search Console, but in this case, the issue is not from your website, rather, this might be a temporary issue within Google.

The page is set to index, it is listed in the sitemap, accessible to bots and not getting blocked by robots.txt. We do not see any reason for this page to not get indexed.

You may again try clearing your website and also any server-side cache and under Google Search Console account > Coverage, click on the error and hit the validate fix button.

Further, give Google some time to recrawl the page to see if the issue gets fixed.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
