Pages Meta Info Not Updating?

    Hello for the past 2 weeks we have had issues with a lot of our sites, Rankmath isn’t updating any of the information on page when we change the Meta Info.

    Example:
    I got to a service page and edit it > Go to the Rankmath settings and change the Title from Service 1 to Epic Service 2 > I then update the page and view it.

    However when I view the page it doesn’t have the updated Title, it still says Service 1.

    I have troubleshooted with all plguins, themes etc… Still no resolve, THE ONLY WAY I was able to fix the issue was when I put the website on a different domain that didn’t have HTTPS or Cloudflare.

    Do you think this is a Rankmath issue? If so how we can go about it, or do you think some how cloudflare is an issue?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

    Your website changes might not be getting updated because of the cache in your website.

    I would request you to exclude the sitemaps from the cache and clear the cache as well from your website.

    Excluding the sitemaps from caching will help in updating the sitemaps automatically when new posts/pages are published or updated.

    Having the posts in sitemaps helps in indexing as the crawler can crawl the posts efficiently.

    You might also need to remove the old sitemap_index.xml and submit it again.

    Please note that it takes some time for Google to reflect the changes.

    Hello, this is currently happening across multiple sites we have, some sites use a different cache plugin. I did clear cache on both sites and am still having the same issue, however when I switch the site over to a testing environment on a different domain that serves HTTP: instead of HTTPS: with Cloudflare it fixes the issue???

    I’ve tried checking your site, and it seems that you’re getting the error message below upon saving your settings. I’ve attached a screencast in the sensitive data section.

    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user:1 

    That error can happen for several reasons like not valid permissions in folders, incorrect .htaccess, or blocked by a firewall from the web host.

    In this case, please get in touch with your web host and check if something is blocking the WordPress API REST. Please also ask them to check the Firewall Settings and whitelist the updateMeta rule.
