page /sitemap_index.xml shows 404

    Hi,
    I am a free RankMath user now and willing to subscribe soon. I face this issue when the plugin update is required, ‘/sitemap_index.xml’ page disappears. I had to update the plugin which is not enough to make it reappear. Additionally, I had to go to the sitemap settings and then save to get the /sitemap_index.xml page back. I hope you will look into this.

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    This indicates that your sitemap is heavily cached.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    3. Apply the following filter code to your site.

    
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
