My home page is meant to be indexed, but rank math and google search console says that its being blocked my a meta tag, however, the ‘head’ says (follow, index) which expresses that it should be indexed, not sure what the problem is.

    Hello,

I checked the page source of your homepage and it seems to be set to index already in the robots meta. Please refer to my screenshot in the Sensitive Data section.

Can you please confirm if the issue is happening on your homepage? If not, please share an affected URL of the post/page.

Also, kindly clear your website cache and allow Google to recrawl it.

Looking forward to helping you on this one.

    Hello,

My home page is one of the pages that Google Search Console is claiming to be blocked by a mega tag. Even though it’s set to “index”. Do you think this is just on error on their part? And should I just wait till Google re-crawls the website? Also, since this websites only 3 days old, how long does it take for a new website to be fully indexed?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hello,

Please do note that it is completely normal for a newly published post/page/website to take time before it gets crawled or indexed by Google. I will suggest you wait for some time and let Google crawl your website and index the website.

It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing some new URL. Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two) and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get indexed.

Hope this helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
