Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.
I visited your website and upon checking the source of the post, I was unable to find any No Index tag applied. I then checked the Robots.txt file and it seems fine also, the post is appearing on the post sitemap.
Please follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Flush your permalinks, to do this, please head over to your WordPress admin area > Settings > Permalinks, and hit the Save Changes button. https://i.rankmath.com/XFClBB
2. Under your WP admin area > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings, click on the Save Changes button. https://i.rankmath.com/MMpDGi
3. Log in to your Gooogle Search Console account and delete all the sitemaps.
4. Now add only your index sitemap in GSC: your-domain.com/sitemap_index.xml
5. Give Google some time to recrawl your website and register the changes.
Please let us know how that goes.
Thanks.
Hi Prabhat
and thanks for your reply. I did as suggested but Google is still flagging the page as no index.
Not sure where it’s taking that instruction from.
Thanks
Pasquale
Hello,
I have checked the page source of the page and there are multiple robots tag on the page and one of them is set to noindex.
I think the additional robots tag is coming from this section of your page:
Can you try removing this block or add this code as an image?
I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
I like the idea. Unfortunately, even after replacing all the code sections with images, the result is still the same: the post is being flagged as no index by Google.
Thanks,
Pasquale
Hello,
I have checked your page again, on the front end the code is replaced by the image.
But I could still see the noindex robots meta in the source code.
Check this screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/yFos60
Please remove that code from the page source and check again.
I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Hi Anas
and thanks for the feedback. This actually solved the issue. It’s very interesting to see that Google spiders would pick up not only on text on the page but also on text included in the comments.
This was definitely great learning and although the Rank Math plugin had nothing to do with this (I initially thought it was a setting in Rank Math), I really appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Pasquale
