Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the outgoing internal links containing the nofollow attribute. You are correct that adding a nofollow attribute to internal links is generally not recommended unless there is a specific purpose for doing so.
To fix this issue, you will need to remove the nofollow attribute from your internal links. Here’s how you can do that using Rank Math:
- Navigate to Rank Math Settings: Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Links.
- Disable Nofollow for Internal Links: Ensure that the option for Nofollow Internal Links is disabled. This will allow your internal links to be followed by search engine crawlers.
- Check Your Content: Review your posts and pages to ensure that no individual internal links have been manually set to nofollow. You can edit these links in the WordPress editor by selecting the link and checking its settings.
After making these changes, it may take some time for search engines to re-crawl your site and reflect the updates in their indexing.
If you would like a more comprehensive setup or assistance, we recommend our professional setup service, which ensures that your plugin settings are fully optimized according to the latest SEO standards. You can find more information about this service at Rank Math Professional Setup Service.
Thank you for raising this concern, and if you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reply to this ticket!

How to Fix "Crawled – Currently Not Indexed" Error in Google Search Console » Rank Math
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
Rank Math does not add the nofollow to your internal links as we only add it to your external:

However, the nofollow attribute could be added by one of your plugins or active theme.
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), to determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
Hope that helps.
