    Rank Math free

Hello, Bhanu and the Rank Math team!

I work as designer and social media goddess, and I load RankMath to all my client sites as part of my standard service package. This is the first time I’ve used RankMath for Woocommerce, and I’m stumped. The client in question sells malas exclusively, and she has 5 product listings so far. Her RankMath score is 56. The keyword is mala, as I’m not sure what other keyword she could have.

RankMath’s check list is telling me:
Focus Keyword found in the subheading(s).
Focus Keyword found in image alt attribute(s).
Keyword Density is 4.92 which is high, the Focus Keyword and combination appears 6 times.
URL is 78 characters long. Consider shortening it.
    Link out to external resources.
Add DoFollow links pointing to external resources.
Add internal links in your content.
You have already used this Focus Keyword.

    Here are my questions:
    1. How do I decrease the focus keyword density when “mala” is all she sells?
    2. Why is RankMath suggesting I link to an external source for a product listing? Don’t I want to keep customers on the page?
    3. DoFollow links, same question as 2.
    4. Can you suggest how I can use other keywords when malas are all she sells?

Thanks for you suggestions! And special thanks for creating a useful SEO, user-friendly SEO product!

    Rank Math business

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with SEO optimization for your WooCommerce store.

    1. How do I decrease the focus keyword density when “mala” is all she sells?

Choose a longer keyword that better fits the specific product. The keyword should also use terms that people are likely to search for, for example: “Tibetan Mala bracelet” or “Large Mala Necklace”.

    2. Why is Rank Math suggesting I link to an external source for a product listing? Don’t I want to keep customers on the page?

For general posts it is normally recommended to link to external resources. Rank Math does not currently differentiate between products and general posts with regard to external links. You can safely ignore the conflicting advice in this case. Alternatively, you can make external links open in a new tab.

    3. DoFollow links, same question as 2.

You can safely ignore the advice as in question 2

    4. Can you suggest how I can use other keywords when malas are all she sells?

Similar to 1 above. Use variations of keywords that people might search for like, ‘mala for men’, ‘mala prayer necklace’.

Hope that answers you. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask.
