OpenGraph Thumbnail Not Working On Shop Page

    Good afternoon Rank Math,

    We are long time fans of Rank Math, this is the only time I have ever seen this issue.

    Basically, we have set an OpenGraph Thumbnail via Rank Math -> Titles and Meta and this is working perfectly.

    The issue is on the shop page, we are trying to overwrite the OpenGraph Thumbnail just for this page, with a specific image.

    When we check the page source, the main OpenGraph Thumbnail is pulling through. This was further confirmed when using the Facebook dev tools.

    I have tested removing the OpenGraph Thumbnail main image, the shop image changes instantly to a random photo of a product, so we know it is not a caching issue.

    Please, if anyone is able to assist, we would really appreciate it.

    Can you please?
    1. Update all your themes and plugins to the latest version?
    2. The image URL entered in the Rank Math’s settings differ from what’s appearing the output, it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    P.S. Your server is responding very slowly. I am on a 150MBPs connection and it took me minutes to open the pages.

    Thank you so much for your reply, it means a lot to us. 🙂

    We have further looked on our side and can’t see any issues.

    The site is hosted in South Africa, with a CDN that is caching images in South Africa. That would explain the slow loading times from external countries.

    Could that be the reason that Rank Math is pulling the wrong image through for the shop page’s OpenGraph Thumbnail?

    How can we overwrite the OpenGraph Thumbnail for the shop page using a link, assuming this is the issue?

    Hello,

    The slow loading time is not the reason.

    If you can create a staging site we can debug this for you. Do not want to risk your main website as it contains products and you are selling stuff.
