Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The OG meta detected by the Facebook debugger belongs to the homepage, the canonical is also pointing to the homepage. This suggests that you have enabled the automatic redirect options in Rank Math that could have created a redirection to the homepage when the post was duplicated and the slug changed.
Please disable this option by heading over to Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections > Auto post redirect and clear your site cache.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
The Auto Post Redirect Was disabled already. I did reset the settings for Fallback Behavior and set it to Default 404 where it was set to be redirected to the home page. All settings now on redirect is set to default. Sharing the URL’s above on FB now however shows the warnings below and no image (where it previously showed main page)
The provided value for ‘og:url’ might be incorrect.
The provided property ‘og:url’ (‘https://www.hdcabling.co.za/product/5-meter-male-standard-displayport-to-standard-displayport-male-cable-28awg/’) does not represent the input URL. You can safely ignore this message after double checking the provided value
Inferred Property
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Missing Properties
The following required properties are missing: og:image, fb:app_id
Hi Johan,
Thanks for the additional findings.
It is likely that this is related to caching on your site or on your server.
Please purge all your site cache and check if the issue will still be reproduced.
Thank you.
Cleared cache on W3 Total Cache, no other caching used. Problem still remains on OG:URL and link not the same as canonical URL. It is only on products that has been duplicated and edited.
Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi Johan,
Thanks for the access.
I suspect that this issue is as a result of some caching on your server. I have just tried to click on the “Purge from cache” option on the product edit page but your site reports a 503 error. This is something that you might want to talk to your host about.
I have also done another test by duplicating this product: https://www.hdcabling.co.za/product/70-meter-fiber-optic-hdmi-cable-18gbps-v2-0-hdmi-male-to-male-premium-high-speed-supports-hdr-ultra-hd-4k-3840-x-2160-60hz/ and once I click on purge from cache and scrape the URL on the debugger the issue goes away as you can see below:
Please test this out using these steps and let me know if you can report the same results.
Thank you.
Thank you for the assistance, I will speak to hosting provider
