The URL I can see in the screenshot you’ve shared is /sitemap_index.xml and it’s not accessible right now.

After going through in-depth investigation, I found that you’ve changed your URL structure from Post name to Plain and your sitemap URL is currently at the URL:https://vaspinfotech.biz/?sitemap=1.
Possibly this is why GSC is unable to fetch rest of your child URL from sitemap.
In this situation, I’d like to suggest you, either to change the permalink structure to Post name again and re-submit your sitemap URL to GSC. Or you can continue with the existing settings, try removing old sitemap URL and submit the new sitemap URL to GSC

Thank you for your valuble time to investigate the issue.
Actually, i had voluntarily changed from “post name” to “plain”
and updated the url in google sitemap, for testing purpose.
With in few mins, the sitemap discovered 569 urls.

but with “Post name” and sitemap_index.xml, i got only around 36 discovered urls in search console!!
if you want to do testing with the settings set to “Post name” and sitemap_index.xml, i can change the values.
Please advise me.

In this case, please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
3. Kindly apply this filter code to your theme’s functions.php file.
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
After doing so, re-submit your sitemap file to Google Search Console again.

I have done as instructed by you.
I did the first step and the 3rd step.
I skipped the 2nd step as i dont have any cache plugin running or my server is also not cached.
and then updated the sitemap url is GSC.
Still i am getting the same old results.

Google crawls the sitemap according to the crawl budget of the website.
After submitting the sitemap, you need to wait for Google to crawl the sitemap.
If that does not help, try submitting the individual sitemaps.
