The 422 error indicates the URL belongs to another site and cannot be processed. Please note that when you enable the Instant Indexing feature on Rank Math, it dynamically generates an API Key on your root directly.
Since you’re using a headless CSM, your actual website URL is considered outside the root directory, and that’s why you face a 422 error.
In this case, you can try using a different plugin from Bing and see if that works for you: https://wordpress.org/plugins/indexnow/
