I am interested in moving from Yoast to the paid version of RankMath, but I have several questions:
I do not use the Yoast sitemap function. I currently have an XML sitemap that I created online and then edited and placed inside my site folder on my host server. Later, I went into Google console and told them the location of the sitemap.
If I move to RankMath and use the XML sitemap feature: a) what do I do with the original sitemap and b) what do I do at the Google console to reove or update the location for the new auto produced sitemap.
I have other questions, but this is a good start.
Thanks
John

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. We appreciate you considering Rank Math PRO for your website.
A. If you choose Rank Math to generate your sitemap, you may need to delete (or at least rename) your sitemaps created in your site’s root directory. Also, Rank Math’s sitemaps are generated dynamically/virtually, so they will not be literally present in your website’s root directory.
You can check this link for more information on our sitemaps:
https://rankmath.com/kb/configure-sitemaps/B. Once you have configured your sitemaps generated by Rank Math, you’ll just need to remove all the sitemaps submitted in your Google Search Console account and resubmit your main sitemap only
/sitemap_index.xml. Google will use that to reach/crawl your other sitemaps/sub-sitemaps as well.I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
Thank.
Second question. I have completed the Google My Business page. You can take a look – No Problem Mac. It appears to be working fine.
a) If I used Local SEO schema would that interfere with my Google my Business page data? This question was answered on another post and didn’t appear to make sense.
b) Can I use RankMath without the Local Schema, but with all other types of Schema
c) If the Yoast import goes wrong is there a way to back out of the problem.
Thanks again
Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us.
a. Could you please describe this question?
b. Yes, you can easily use all the other schema types of Rank Math without using the Local schema.
Since Rank Math follows a modular approach, you can simply disable the Local SEO & Knowledge Graph module from your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Dashboard, to disable the Local SEO schema.
c. If during the import, something goes wrong, then you can easily re-import the settings and the previously imported data would be overwritten.
However, we always recommend taking a complete backup of your website (and database) before importing data from any plugin. You may have a look at this tutorial guide for more details on migrating from Yoast to Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/yoast-seo-migration/
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hi
I have a Google My Business account, and I’ve filled in all the details that Google request.
Just do a search for ‘No Problem Mac’ and you’ll see it.
If I used RM Local SEO wouldn’t it conflict with the information I’ve already provided to Google?
Which one would they trust?
They already have practically all the information they need. What would the benefit of doing the RM Local SEO be?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math again.
By only using the GMB profile you have, only Google has control over that data and it may not always be accessible to others. You will want to have structured data on your website, so the entire internet has access to it.
Google will recognize when you tag structured data like your company name, address, and hours of operation on your website. If this information lines up with your Google My Business profile, your structured data will emerge higher in rankings.
So there will be no conflict with Rank Math Local SEO data so long as this data is the same.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you.Thank you.
After setting up RankMath sitemaps, can they be checked manually and /or edited manually.
If i check (include images) does this setup a different sitemap for images?
Thanks
Hello,
Rank Math sitemaps are generated automatically and we do not have an option to edit them manually.
However, you can use custom filters to modify the sitemaps:
https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#sitemapNo, a separate image sitemap will not be created. The include images in the sitemap option will add the images to the current sitemap.
The number of images in the post/page/product will be displayed along with the URLs.
Here is an image for your reference :
I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Will I be able to download or open them in any way so i can check the data is correct?
Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Unfortunately, we do not have an option to download the sitemaps. However, you can always open the sitemaps and check them.
The main sitemap can be accessed using this URL:
your-domain.com/sitemap_index.xml(please replace “your-domain.com” with your actual domain name). From the main sitemap, you can access all the individual sitemaps like post, page, category, etc.
You can also head over to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings, and from here you can access all the individual sitemaps using the link provided in all the tabs. https://i.rankmath.com/VWbeFS
Please refer to this tutorial guide for more details:

Thank you.

Hi I installed RankMath Pro and have connected to Google Console and the Bing API
In the analytics section there is no data.
Have I done something wrong?
John
Hello,

Please do ensure that you have properly configured your Analytics settings on Rank Math. You may also need to check if you are using the recommended version of Google Analytics for Rank Math which is V3 or Universal Analytics. Please refer to these guidelines:
https://rankmath.com/kb/install-google-analytics/
https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/If the data still not showing, please try to fetch fresh data manually. Please follow these steps:
1. Head over to WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> Tools & Status and click the ‘Rebuild Index’ button https://i.rankmath.com/kecLYK
2. Head over to WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> General Settings >> Analytics tab, and click the ‘Delete Data’ button and then click the ‘Update Data Manually’ https://i.rankmath.com/fvcsbF
3. It will start the new data fetch from Google. You can reload the page to see the notice related to the import process.
4. Give it some time to process. Please recheck the Analytics page after the process is completed.Let us know how it goes.
We are looking forward to helping you.
Hi Jeremy
I already have 2 properties set up in Google Analytics. The one it’s always on starts with ‘UA’-XXXXX-1 and the second is just a string of nine digits.
In RankMath>Analytics, when I was setting up I was able to pick an Account, Property, View and Country. It’s green and those options are now greyed out.
I’m not sure what the next steps are, given that information.
I provided the sensitive information. Did you get it?
Hello,
Thank you for the update.
If they are already grayed out, it means that your Google account is already connected to your site. For the next steps, have you already followed the fetching of data steps provided by my colleague above?
You can also check this link for more information:
https://rankmath.com/kb/delete-old-analytics-data/Unfortunately, the sensitive data is empty. Could you please update again?
I hope that helps.
Thank you, and looking forward to helping you.
