Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math about your Facebook rich snippet not showing correctly.
Facebook caches social media snippets for links shared on their website. You can test your new link on the Facebook sharing debugger tool to see if it is set up correctly. The debugger may show the old image first. If this happens click the “Scrape Again” button under the heading “When and how we last scraped the URL”. This will force facebook to pull the new featured image. The debugger may give details on errors with the new snippet and how to fix them.
After you have fixed the link snippet on the debugger you can try sharing it. If the old featured image still shows then you will have to wait until Facebook clears their cache.
I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any questions. We are here to help.
Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
I tried Facebook Sharing Debugger, it is warning me of curl error 28 and that og:image property should be explicitly provided.
I clicked “scrape again” a few hours ago but it did not change social media snippet.
Is there anything else I can do or to just wait for Facebook to clear their cache?
Thanks
Matej
Hello,
Could you please share the affected URL and a screenshot of the social meta settings of the page so that we can check this on our end?
You can use a tool like imgur.com to easily upload and share the screenshots link.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I checked the source of the page and tested it in Facebook’s debugger tool and the image, title shown in Facebook matches the data on the source of the page.
Here’s a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/6fDXIA
If you’ve set another image, then please ensure that the image is of the recommended dimensions (i.e, 1200px X 630px) and of the supported image types (jpeg, png, and gif).
Also, please try clearing your website’s cache and see if that fixes the issue.
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
