Recently moved from Yoast to Rank Math! Love it. Been fine-tuning my site on a variety of things, but I recently tried to share a post on my FB page (as well as via Buffer on Twitter) and the featured image wasn’t showing. I ran the FB debugger and it is showing the error of:
Provided og:image, https://cdn.hightechdad.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/HTD-how-to-hide-title-1.png could not be downloaded. This can happen due to several different reasons such as your server using unsupported content-encoding. The crawler accepts deflate and gzip content encodings.I used to have hotlinking enabled on cloudflare (as well as in my .htaccess) but now both are off and confirmed that images can be accessed.
I do use:
– Varnish Cache
– CDN (MaxCDN)
– CloudFlareMy site’s TLD is http://www.hightechdad.com
CDN is cdn.hightechdad.comSo, in the source, you can see both www and cdn depending on the file type. But the of:image is listed as being pulled from the cdn.
Any thoughts why this isn’t working? I have cleared all 3 caches recently (varnish, CDN, and CloudFlare).
Thanks,
Michael
