Recently moved from Yoast to Rank Math! Love it. Been fine-tuning my site on a variety of things, but I recently tried to share a post on my FB page (as well as via Buffer on Twitter) and the featured image wasn’t showing. I ran the FB debugger and it is showing the error of:
Provided og:image, https://cdn.hightechdad.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/HTD-how-to-hide-title-1.png could not be downloaded. This can happen due to several different reasons such as your server using unsupported content-encoding. The crawler accepts deflate and gzip content encodings.
I used to have hotlinking enabled on cloudflare (as well as in my .htaccess) but now both are off and confirmed that images can be accessed.
I do use:
– Varnish Cache
– CDN (MaxCDN)
– CloudFlareMy site’s TLD is http://www.hightechdad.com
CDN is cdn.hightechdad.comSo, in the source, you can see both www and cdn depending on the file type. But the of:image is listed as being pulled from the cdn.
Any thoughts why this isn’t working? I have cleared all 3 caches recently (varnish, CDN, and CloudFlare).
Thanks,
Michael
