OG image issue

I’d like to make page images show when I share my website on Facebook. I’ve read the articles around OG image as I get the message “The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.” – when I look at my page source there are no meta property OG image tags but I don’t know how to add these.

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Facebook is still seeing URL without an og:image property. Which is why you’re encountering the error on Facebook debugger tool.

As you’re using LightSpeed Cache plugin for caching, I’m suspecting that Facebook may still crawling the cached/older version of the URL and which is why it’s still not seeing og:image property there.

For initial troubleshooting, can you please check if you’ve Guest Mode enabled on the LightSpeed Cache plugin? You can check that by heading over to WordPress Dashboard > LightSpeed Cache > General > General Settings > Guest Mode

If so, then that illustrates the whole scenario. Please turn off the Guest Mode feature from the settings, and purge all cache and re-check again using Facebook Debugger tool to see if the issue is resolved.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi

It wasn’t in guest mode, I can try deactivating it although not sure if that will have other issues.
