I checked and you had disallowed file edit in your WP_CONFIG by having this line: define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ). I changed it to false and now your htaccess and robots.txt can be edited. I also renamed the robots.txt file in your root folder to robots_bak.txt to allow Rank math to automatically generate the robots.txt virtually. You can restore or delete it if you wish to.

Thank You so much! That is really a relief to me. I was very concerned that the .htaccess could not be updated by your plugin, even though I don’t know if it actually changes some parameters or just wants to open the option that one could write something manually?
the robots.txt was of course very important to change because of the routing to the sitemap.

It is as you said, it just gives you an option to easily edit the .htaccess file without having to open an FTP connection to edit it.
