not tracking google analytics

    Rank Math free

I was using Monster Insights and AIOSEO together.

I used Monster Insight to install the Google Analytics code. I’ve decided to try RankMath instead due to a recommendation.

However, after deactivating Monster Insights and AIOSEO I’m not getting any analytics from RankMath. I’ve checked Google Analytics and it’s still getting data.

I wonder if you can help me get Google Analytics data from RankMath?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. I’ve also tried installing GA code with RankMath and not installing GA code with RankMath using the Analytics section.

Still, there is no data being received.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for the unexpected delays and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. I’ve also tried installing GA code with RankMath and not installing GA code with RankMath using the Analytics section.

Can you please let us know what you mean by the GA code being installed? Are you referring to the option shown here? WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics > “Install analytics code”.

If that option is already enabled and the issue persists, please share your website URL so we can take a closer look at it.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    That’s my website.

I see in Google search console and Google analytics it’s receiving data but nothing in Rankmath.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello,

Please follow this guide to fetch the data:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/delete-old-analytics-data/

Let us know how it goes.

We are here to assist you.

I removed RankMath from my Google account as deleting data and then fetching data did nothing.

When I reconnected Rank Math I used these settings:

    Site: https://classicsavagery.com/

Account: ClassicSavagery Property: Classic Savagery – GA4 Data Stream: Website

    I choose ‘Install Analytics Code’

When I saved and refreshed the page it didn’t automatically fetch data.

    I did this manually.

It says it will take one hour. I’ve checked within Google Analytics that it is receiving information: I’m using GA debugger and it’s showing actions such as when I open up a page.

I’ll get back to you in an hour to see if the problem has been resolved.

    It’s still not showing anything.

    I wonder why?

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

I’ve added a temporary password link for your support staff (It expires in 3 days, if it’s not resolved by then I will make a new one.)

    Hello,

I tried fetching the data manually but it isn’t working. Can you please share a screenshot of the performance section of your GSC account for a timeframe of 30 days? You can use a tool like https://imgbb.com/ to share the screenshots.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

It seems like the website is new and not getting clicks through Google search results.

The sample data is very small, due to sampling issues the data might not be able to be imported to our Analytics module.

You have only 1 impression in the last 28 days and due to sampling of data and lower numbers, the API might not be able to fetch the data.

We would recommend waiting a little bit longer and building up the website to get some consistent data and Rank Math will fetch the data from Google.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Interesting,

Do you know why AIOSEO had data.

It did show search results from different countries and the like.

Wh would it be showing more data? Is it because it wasn’t using GA4 and was using universal?

    Hello,

We have a different way of rendering data and it is possible that due to the little data we can fetch, we aren’t able to display reliable comparison. Please refer to our guide here on how our analytics work: https://rankmath.com/kb/anaytics-data-differs-from-ga-gsc/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
