I want the plugin to update automatically, I just don’t want to be notified each time. Is that possible?

Yes, disabling the Auto Updates option will stop the automatic updates for the plugin. However, disabling the Update Emails option will only disable the emails about the available updates. If you enabled the Auto Updates again, you will still receive an email after the auto update.
The filter should work fine and disable the emails. Can you please share a screenshot of how you have applied the filer on your site?

Just so I understand, if I enable Auto Updates, I’ll always get an email letting me know the plugin has been updated, correct? There’s no way to have it update automatically and not receive the email notice?

The filter is applied correctly on your site and you shouldn’t receive the notification emails for auto-updates. Please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and Remove Rank Math Transients.
Once done, please wait for the next auto-update and let us know if you receive the email. I will send this to the devs to investigate further.
