Hello,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked all of your site and found that on samusiczone.co.za you are using an image size of 400 X 400 pixels, and the dimension is too low as per OpenGraph guidelines by Facebook.
Please try updating the default OpenGraph with a recommended image size as close as 1200 x 630 pixels, and also make sure that the image is with supported image format like JPEG, PNG, or GIF.
For the other two sites you’ve mentioned, I can see that the og:image tag is missing there. Which is why Facebook automatically picking up a random image from the page to show as a thumbnail.
In order to fix this issue, please try settings a Default OpenGraph image by heading over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta > OpenGraph Thumbnail.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi there
Thanks for the feedback – the issue is the not default image for OpenGraph, the issue is that it doesn’t matter on which of the three sites I share something it brings up the image from my ads, not the featured image of the post – it gives me this message on Facebook Sharing Debugger (for all three sites):
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
I’ve read your help files, even tried implemented the codes into PHP into my themes (I am using the same one on all three sites) – but it doesn’t work.
I am using the same cache plugin on all three sites
Please help because this is annoying
Regards
I’ve also tried using plugins, but NONE of them are working
Nevermind, I think I solved the issue 😀
