Could you please go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General, and make sure that the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” have the same setup?
Meaning, both URLs have the same exact protocols, and they should be matching.
If the issue still persists, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

I still have that problem. Thx for the troubleshooting and für the hint of wp address and site address. Yes they are the same. Also bei troubleshooting it was not able to connect.

Is the a big if the domain contains an ö?

Yes, the issue is because you are using ö in the URL.
The special characters need to be encoded for the activation to work.
