Nonindex pages

I have received a message from Google Search console saying that 3 of my pages have a noindex tag.
I went checking and I can confirmed that although the settings are correct (noindex unchecked) the tags are present.
    How do I fix this?
    Thanks
    S.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your URLs or WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Silvia,

    Appreciate the details.

Please note that these are WooCommerce specific pages. They add no value to search users whatsoever. It is completely fine to have noindex on these and you can read about it online and confirm the same.

Here are links that you can check:
    https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/5286934?hl=en

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/disable-noindex-on-certain-core-pages/

With that said, these are coming from WooCommerce Core and they are like that on purpose. I wouldn’t recommend changing them to index for the reason I gave you above but if you want to do it anyway – the second link above contains instructions on that as well.

    Hi Todd,
Thanks a lot for your help.
It just sounded weird because in my rankMath settings they are set to be index.
I’ll go and check WooCommerce. I might leave them that way then, even if I guess I need to change some other settings to avoid receiving constant notification from the Search Console.

    Thanks again
    S.

    Hi Silvia,

In Google’s eyes, anything they are blocked from seeing is an error. They will say this is an error but you know better than a bot 🙂

If you need help with anything else, please open a new support ticket here so we can help.

We are always here for assistance.
