Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the noindex settings. It sounds like there may be a default setting in your Titles & Meta options that is overriding your individual page settings. To check this, please navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensure that the settings for the specific category are configured correctly. If the noindex option is still selected after you have set it to index, it might be worth checking if there are any conflicting settings or if the changes were saved properly.
Regarding your second question, yes, you can uncheck the noindex option at the page level. After making changes to the individual page settings, make sure to click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to commit your changes. If you do not see this option or if the settings revert after refreshing, it could be a caching issue or a conflict with another plugin.
If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for raising your concerns!

Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi, I’ve add sensitive data you’ve ask for.
Hello,
You have the global WordPress settings to prevent search engines from crawling the website enabled under WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading.
After you untick that box, the robots meta settings can then be controlled from our plugin if you need to change them on a specific page.
Thank you.
Thank you for checking. This means I cannot edit the noindex attributes for subpages when the page is unpublished at the WordPress level?
Our website is currently under construction.
Is there another way I can make noindex settings using a plugin before the page is published?
Hello,
No, the global settings take precedence over the page-specific settings and it should be done this way.
When you remove that option from the WordPress settings, all the other pages will follow the page-specific settings you have in the SEO plugin settings.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
