    Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

    The actual noindex tag is added like this:
    <meta robots="noindex">

    The one you mentioned in your post refers to the No Index option that Rank Math offers in the admin menu bar.

    You can confirm the presence (or absence) of the actual robots noindex tag on this 3rd party website:

    Hi Anas,
    I checked all the basic parameters before posting here. The box is not ticked “discourage Search Engines”
    What I don’t understand is, when I untick ‘mark this page’ – ‘As No Index’ , it is unticked but there is no “save modification” button. and if I refresh the page, again, the “As No Index” is ticked…

    Hello,

    For that, you would have to check the individual page as it also gets changed to noindex. However, on clicking it again or unticking it, it should change back to index. Please make sure you have cleared your cache to be able to see that.
