We are working on some SEO fixes for a website, and we have done what you see in the sensitive data section.

Wondering what could be going on?

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

All your pages seem to be set to noindex. Please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading and uncheck the option to discourage Search Engines from indexing your site.

That should fix your issue, if it doesn’t let us know so we can look into it further.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

We are trying to figure out some challenging SEO indexing problems, but we don’t want the site to be indexed by Google, lest we get duplicate content issues.

We got this issue with this setting off, then turned it back on so we don’t get the duplicate content problem with the live website.

Let me know when you’ll be able to take a look at it, and we can set it back off.

Or, is there some other way to avoid the potential duplicate content problem while using this sort of testing site?

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. As a better solution meanwhile, you could go to the WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading and there turn on the “Discourage search engines” setting. That way, robots won’t crawl your site but you don’t need to have your pages set as no-index so we can debug the issue.

Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
