i’m really sorry to make contact, i have tried trouble shooting, tutorials and navigating on my own however not successful.

    * my website pages are appearing as noindex (919 pages), even though all appropriate settings say index in rankmath settings.

    * i have bulk indexed all via AHREF/INDEXNOW, however unsure if this will be successful because pages appear as noindex, and doesn’t resolve future pages which i need to create today

    * when i follow the noindex url via AHREF i can change to index…. however there are 919 pages, and as my settings are appearing as INDEX however forcing pages to be NOINDEX i don’t want to complete this manual task because its likely to revert/still remain an issue.

    * i have been watching many tutorials to help my website be viewed because i wasn’t getting any traffic, and now realise its due to this noindex, i’m devastated.

    * i changed a robot meta setting to see if this would help and it created 200 additional errors/noindex (originally it was 700+)

sorry if i am not making sense, i actually don’t understand rankmath in general and thought by following a tutorial it would protect me from errors. I am not tech savvy at all and followed the tutorial step by step to set up rankmath so if you are unable to fix this issue for me please breakdown the instructions ideally with a youtube tutorial for me to follow as reading/retaining is difficult for me.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the noindex tags on your website. It can be quite frustrating when things don’t work as expected, especially after putting in the effort to troubleshoot and follow tutorials.

To address the problem of 919 pages appearing as noindex despite your settings indicating they should be indexed, we recommend checking a few key areas:

    1. Check Rank Math’s Titles & Meta Settings:

      • Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta.
      • Ensure that the settings for each post type and taxonomy are set to Index. If any are set to Noindex, change them to Index and click Save Changes.
      • Here’s a visual guide to help you:
Set Noindex in Titles and Meta Settings
    2. Bulk Actions for Existing Posts:

      • If you have many posts set to noindex, you can use the bulk actions feature to change them all at once. Go to the Posts menu, filter by Articles Noindexed, select all posts, and then choose Set to Index from the bulk actions dropdown.

Set to Index using Bulk Actions
    3. Check Robots.txt File:

      • Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking any important pages. You can check this in the Edit robots.txt tab under Rank Math’s General Settings.
    4. Use the Metabox for Individual Posts:

      • For any specific posts that still show as noindex, you can manually change them using the Metabox in your page editor. Go to the Advanced tab and select Index in the Robots meta tag area.
    5. Future Pages:

      • Make sure that any new pages you create have the correct settings in the Metabox as well, ensuring they are set to index.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, we recommend replying to this ticket with any specific errors or messages you encounter, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

please there seems to be even more problems. i reached out to google because i can’t connect my shop to google merchant centre and they explained that “I can see that robots.txt and structuredata are not implemented. Please be informed that Google is unable to crawl your website and gather information about your products. To allow Google access to your content, make sure that the robots.txt file allows user-agent “Googlebot” to crawl your site”.

i have never touched this field i only looked at it yesterday, i have screenshot the pre-filed data for robots, i have no idea what structure data is

    Hello,

We’ve tested a product on your site using Google’s Rich Results test tool, and it is already validating fine.

The structured data is the product schema applied to the product and is already applied correctly.

Also, your robots.txt is validated and the correct rules are applied. If the issue persists, then you can follow our default and recommended rules here:

    Looking forward to helping you.
