Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing while trying to connect your WordPress blog site to Rank Math through the Setup Wizard. It can be frustrating when your site does not appear in the dropdown menu for Search Console and Analytics.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
-
Ensure Your Site is Verified in Google Search Console: Make sure that your website is verified in Google Search Console using the same Google account you are trying to connect with Rank Math. If it’s not verified, Rank Math won’t be able to fetch the data.
-
Check Google Analytics Setup: Ensure that you have set up Google Analytics correctly for your website. If you haven’t created a property for your site in Google Analytics, Rank Math can create it for you during the setup process.
-
Use a Different Browser: Sometimes, browser issues can cause problems with the setup. If you are experiencing issues, try switching to Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser, as this can resolve some connectivity problems.
-
Refresh the Setup Wizard: After verifying your site and ensuring everything is set up correctly, refresh the Setup Wizard and try connecting again.
-
Check Permissions: Make sure that you have granted all necessary permissions when connecting your Google account to Rank Math. If permissions are not granted, it may prevent Rank Math from accessing your data.
If you have followed these steps and are still encountering issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!
Hi
I have followed the guidance given. I found that the Google Account Email Address I had attempted to link Rank Math to, was not the same Google Account Email Address that I used to verify my website via Google Search Console. I disconnected Rank Math and started again, reconnecting Google Services using the same Google Account Email address I used to verify my site. I now get my site showing up to select from the drop down box under the Console section. The trouble I now have is that under Account in the Analytics section it is displaying my Account for another website I have that was verified previously using the same Google Account Email address. I wondered if this is okay as I expected my new site I am connecting Rank Math to, to come up instead. I’m also unclear what I should be selected under the Properties section. I was going to select Create A new G4 Account, but it appears to have already set one up for my new site. Do I select this? I can send a screen shot of what is appearing my end if it helps. Thanks. Andy
Hello,
The GA4 property should be created using the email address used in your Google Search Console.
Could you please confirm if you have already created a GA4 property for your website?
If not yet, please visit this page (https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/) and sign up for a Google Analytics account and property, then reconnect your Google Account so the new Analytics account will reflect in that section.
Looking forward to helping you.
