Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap and the indexing of your content. It seems that Google is not detecting any referring sitemaps for your site, which can happen for a few reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
-
Check Your Sitemap Submission: Ensure that you have submitted the correct XML sitemap to Google Search Console. The URL should typically be `https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/. If you have multiple sitemaps, make sure they are all correctly linked.
-
Verify Sitemap Settings: Since you are using Rank Math, please check if the Sitemap module is enabled in your Rank Math settings. You can do this by going to Rank Math SEO → Dashboard and ensuring the Sitemap module is active. Additionally, verify your sitemap settings under Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings to ensure everything is configured correctly.
-
Check Robots.txt File: Make sure that your robots.txt file does not contain any rules that might block Google from crawling your sitemap or specific pages. You can edit your robots.txt file in Rank Math by navigating to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit robots.txt.

-
Internal Linking: Ensure that there are sufficient internal links pointing to the pages you want indexed. A poor internal linking structure can lead to pages being crawled but not indexed. You can use Rank Math’s suggestions for internal linking to improve this.

-
Crawl Budget Issues: If your site has many low-quality pages, it might affect how Google allocates its crawl budget. Focus on improving the quality of your content and internal linking.
If you’ve checked all these aspects and the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
We see that there’s a referring page for the webp path you shared. Meaning, Google was still able to discover the said path so this is not an issue with your sitemap.
We suggest not submitting webp path in Google’s URL inspection tool since this type of URL is not an actual page.
Please refer to this guide on how you would index images on the SERP: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-show-images-in-search-results/
Looking forward to helping you.
