Hello Christos,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
That field only counts the links from other posts to the current posts. We do not check your incoming links from other domains. That would require a whole data center to process.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
OK, then that too is wrong. I check posts who have multiple references from other internal posts and shows zero.
So, I see 3 link related indicators, next to each post in all Posts page:
1st one says Internal Links. I assume these are links from post 1 to post 2
2nd sayd External Links. I assume it means links in the page pointing to some other website url
3rd one says Incoming Links. Isn’t that about links from 3rd party websites pointing to the post? If not, what is the point of that indicator?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi There,
Thanks for the update.
I tried to log into the site with the credentials with no luck.
Kindly confirm the credentials so that I may be able to log in.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi,
1st one says Internal Links: These are other pages you link to from your CURRENT post. So, an outgoing link to your internal content.
2nd says External Links: This is correct:
3rd one says Incoming Links: Other internal links from your other post to the CURRENT post you are working on. So, internal links that are incoming to the current post.
I hope that clears the confusion.
If you are using certain page builders, that might explain why Rank Math is not reading certain incoming links.
We have added API access to the content analysis in the Rank Math plugin to make content from page builder plugins readable by Rank Math.
You would need to contact the developer of the plugin you mentioned by showing the following link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/
Many known companies have already added the compatibility, as it takes a few hours:
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/themify-builder/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/page-builder-framework/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/flothemes/
I hope that helps. Please let us know if there’s anything else you need our assistance with. More than happy to help.
Thank you.
