no alt attributes?

    Rank Math free

i’m optimizing grftestsite.org (Elementor Pro theme) with Rank Math and I’ve run into a problem relating to alt tags. On the SEO Analysis page, I received an alert that says, “Some images on your page have no alt attribute.(11)” So I looked into fixing that. But some of the files on the list DO have alt tags, and the rest of the files are not on the site at all. So first question: how to get the alt tags to show up for Rank Math? These 11 files that supposedly don’t have alt tags are really screwing up my SEO Score. i have a screen shot of the list that i uploaded. All file names highlighted in red are files that DO exist on the site. Second question: what are all of these image files that Rank Math has listed that don’t exist on the site?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Please share the screenshot here so we can check as well. You can use this tool to upload the image and send here the link.

However, I’ve checked your homepage using External SEO Analyzer, and there are 3 images that do not have alt attributes. You may need to add them to your media gallery on your WordPress dashboard.

Then, head over to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > and click the Clear SEO Analysis and Remove Transients buttons to flush the SEO Analysis cache

    Flush

Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-mode/

Once done, clear your website’s cache and Start again the sitewide analysis in Rank Math > SEO Analysis.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    hello,
your advice to click the Clear SEO Analysis and Remove Transients buttons made all the difference. instead of eleven, i now only have three images that do not have alt attributes. (as you mention in your message.) so you answered my question and i thank you!
