News sitemap not updating

It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.

Also, please check your Google Search Console account for any coverage issues so we can advise accordingly.

Meanwhile, please note that only the posts/pages published in the last 2 days are included in the News Sitemap as per Google’s News Sitemap Guidelines.

Can you please follow these steps?

1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

The XML file about Rank Math in the uploads folder are only cache files for the sitemap and if you add the filter to remove the caching of the sitemaps those wouldn’t even show there.

Here’s the filter we are talking about:

add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

​​​​​​So, it’s safe to say that you don’t need those XML files unless you would like to cache our sitemap, which is not recommended for most websites.

You may try using that filter in your theme’s functions.php file and see if that works from your end.
