Need More Help with RankMath Sitemaps: Huge Cache Files

    Hey RankMath Team,

    This is Derek again from ONE Esports. We’re using Rankmath for XML sitemaps. We’ve done our best to configure our cache and CPU to enable sitemaps. However, the sitemaps are MASSIVE and have taken up a ton of our upgraded cache system (nearly 80% of our new 53GB Cache).

    We need your help to understand how we can:

    1. Reduce the Cache Size
    2. Reduce the impact to our CPU
    3. Restructure the frequency/timing for the CRON Jobs (how often or when these sitemaps are generated)
    4. Any guidance on how to optimize Sitemaps Settings?

    We would REALLY appreciate it if we can schedule a 30 minute call. We are Rankmath Pro premium customers.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    I’m sorry but we can’t provide a support call at the moment.

    As stated by my colleague in your last ticket:

    The sitemap from our plugin is dynamically generated each time the page is accessed and doesn’t consist of any physical files.

    In this case, your sitemap should not be cached as the content of the sitemap should always be up to date for the search engine.

    To further minimize the CPU usage, ensure that your “Links per Sitemap” under your Sitemap Settings is not higher than 5000 so the sitemap doesn’t load much longer. You can set it to 1000 just to be sure.
