    Make sure your sitemap is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation. The URL should look like this:

    3. Ensure Posts Are Set to Index

    If all your posts are set to noindex, your sitemap will be empty. Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensure that the Index checkbox is enabled for your posts.

    4. Flush Permalinks

    Sometimes, flushing permalinks can resolve issues with sitemaps. Go to the Permalinks settings in your WordPress dashboard and click Save Changes without making any changes.

    5. Check for Plugin Conflicts

    Use the Health Check plugin to identify if there’s a conflict with another plugin or theme that might be affecting your sitemap.

    6. Clear Cache

    If you are using a caching plugin, make sure to clear your website cache after making changes to your sitemap settings.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    3. Apply the following filter code to your site.

    
    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    4. Remove all your sitemaps from your Google Search Console and re-submit only the index sitemap (https://website.com/sitemap_index.xml)

    In this case, head over to your website files /uploads/rankmath/, and delete any XML files from that path.

    We apologize for the unexpected delay in response.

    We’ve added the following filter code to your Code Snippet plugin, and now the sitemap is working properly without any issues:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
    

    However, please note that disabling the transients cache for your sitemap forces Rank Math to generate it from scratch each time it’s requested. That’s why we’ve reduced the Links per sitemap to 1000 so that Rank Math can generate it easily.

    I am trying to change the author permalink using the Rank Math snippet, but it does not seem to be working. After saving the changes, the permalink remains the same and no updates are applied.

    Could you please confirm the correct way to change author permalinks using Rank Math?

    Please note that the changes made to the author/user slug in the meta box will not work because WordPress doesn’t allow changing the author slug by default.

    However, you can change the slug of your author by using a plugin that specifically addresses that, like this:
