  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s pages getting deindexed. To help you with migrating from Yoast to Rank Math and ensuring your pages are indexed by Google again, please follow these steps:

    1. Install Rank Math

Once you have uninstalled Yoast SEO, you can install Rank Math by going to your WordPress dashboard and navigating to Plugins > Add New. Search for "Rank Math" and install it.

    2. Using the Rank Math Setup Wizard

After installing Rank Math, the Setup Wizard should start automatically. If it doesn’t, you can initiate it manually from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Dashboard > Setup Wizard.
During the setup, you will have the option to import data from Yoast SEO. Here’s how:

    • Deactivate Yoast SEO Plugin: If you haven’t already, make sure the Yoast plugin is deactivated.
    • Import Data: In the Setup Wizard, you will see an option to import data from Yoast. Click on Start Import and follow the prompts to import your settings.

    3. Check Your Site’s Indexing Status

To ensure your pages are indexed by Google again:

    • Submit Your Sitemap: After setting up Rank Math, make sure to submit your sitemap to Google Search Console. You can find your sitemap at `https://rankmath.com/kb/yoast-seo-migration/#setup-wizard.
    • Check for Errors: Use Google Search Console to check for any crawl errors or issues that might prevent indexing.
    • Request Indexing: You can also request indexing for specific pages through Google Search Console.

    4. Monitor Your Site

Keep an eye on your site’s performance in Google Search Console after making these changes. It may take some time for Google to re-index your pages.

If you need more comprehensive assistance with the setup, we recommend our professional setup service which requires a PRO subscription. This service ensures that your plugin setup is fully correct and adheres to the latest SEO standards.
