  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the 503 error when activating Rank Math. It can be frustrating to encounter such problems, especially when it prevents you from accessing your WordPress admin area.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps using FTP:

    1. Connect to Your Site via FTP

    • Use an FTP client like FileZilla to connect to your website.

    2. Navigate to the Plugins Directory

    • Once connected, navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.

    3. Rename the Rank Math Plugin Folder

    • Find the folder named rank-math and rename it to something like rank-math-disabled. This will deactivate the plugin and allow you to access your WordPress admin area without encountering the 503 error.

    4. Access Your WordPress Admin

    • Now, try logging into your WordPress admin area. You should be able to access it without the 503 error.

    5. Troubleshoot Further

    • Once you have access, you can troubleshoot the issue further. You may want to check your server’s error logs or consult with your hosting provider (Hostinger) for any server-related issues that might be causing the overload.
    • If you want to reactivate Rank Math, you can rename the folder back to rank-math and see if the issue persists. If it does, consider reaching out to our support team for more tailored assistance.

If you need further help or have any other questions, feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you.

Thank you for raising this concern!

Installing Rank Math Plugin Through the WordPress Admin Panel

    Hello,

The 503 are server errors, so we would recommend getting in touch with your web host for this issue.

You may also share here any logs from your host if there’s any error generated from Rank Math.

    Looking forward to helping you.

It should be the error caused by RankMath as I disabled all the plugins in the file manager and check one by one and find RankMath caused the issue. I am trying to follow the “Re-create Missing Database Tables” however it now require me to activate RankMath which would cause 503 prevent me to do any actions. So I am looking for help to get to this directly in the file manager and need assistance.

    Hello,

Please access your FTP or your CPanel’s File Manager, locate your website’s root directory, navigate to /wp-content/plugins/, and delete the folder seo-by-rank-math.

After doing that, please try to re-install the plugin on your website.

Please note that all the data from the plugin will remain intact on the database in this process.

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
