Need guidance on Category Selection for posts

    Hi,
    I have some sub-categories under all the categories. Now when I am writing posts for the sub-category should I select only the sub-category for the posts? Or, I can select the parent category and sub-category together?

    What is the best practice for SEO?

    If a sub category belongs to the parent category you want, then there is no need to select the parent category itself. This makes it easier even for the breadcrumbs to find the category path.
